Hi All,
I am having a problem seeing who is using server licenses. When I run the SolidNetWorks License Administrator from my workstation I get an error that says:
Could not get information from this server:
(-12,221,0)
This began after I updated from 2010 SP3 to 2010 SP5 from a netowrk administrative build. Our other users are still on SP3 and I was the test case for going to SP5 as I don't really do production CAD, I just fumble around as the admistration of it.
However, I can still run SolidWorks and I still receive a license from the server. I can verify this from other workstations or from the server itself. I have double checked the server name which matches the name at the other workstation.
One other strangety is that I can see our 9 licenses for 2D Editor for DWG which I don't even know what that is.
Last bit of information that might be pertinant is that I'm on a 64 bit Windows 7 machine.
Thanks,
Norm
This error has been known to occur when SolidWorks 2010 SP05 is installed on client system and SolidNetwork License (SNL) Manager/Administrator (server) is SolidWorks 2010 SP4.0 version. The issue can be resolved by upgrading the SNL software to the SolidWorks 2010 SP5.0 version.
This solution is from SolidWorks Knowledge Base.
2D Editor is old DWGEditor. This software maybe need download independently.
