I am having trouble with a Motion Analysis I have been trying to run for the last week. I have an assembly with cam mechanism preloaded with a spring. I have attached a picture to better explain. The green part is the cam, the dark grey part is the cam housing, and the light grey part is the main housing. The goal is to have a force act on the end of the cam in P1 and have it rotate around and end up at P2. My issue is that the cam keeps crashing through the cam housing. So I backed up and tried to just get the cam to sit in P1 with no force applied. Here is should just be a matter of friction coefficients, but when the assembly moves, it is still crashing through the cam housing (P3). I am using precise contact and have vaired the fps with no luck. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.
I should say that all the pictures are shown with a cross section through the middle of the asm.
I have given advice on this in recent months. Check my posts and ask again if you don't have success.
