i created a new vault and checked in an assembly via bulk check-in and it created this library components project which i cannot delete any files or the project. anyone know how to get rid of this project and files?
do not display, yes
"uncheck" the box in standard libraries tab (pdmw admin tool)
thanks! so no way to get rid of these documents either? i do not want them associated w/the model.
check out the assembly.
delete the offense parts from assembly.
check assembly back in.
they will be gone now.
interesting tatical workaround. the reason these parts are being treated asa library item i believe is becasue they are copis of TB generated parts.is there anyway to remove the info that SW uses to ID these as library parts?
run the sldsetdocprop.exe
[C:\Program Files\SolidWorks Corp\SolidWorks\Toolbox\data utilities]
select Property State: No
after which, open the copied part(s) and save.
as long as you don't see the toolbox icon in assembly feature tree you are good to go.
Info can be removed using a Toolbox utility located in
C:\Program Files\SolidWorks Corp\SolidWorks\Toolbox\data utilities\sldsetdocprop.exe
on Vista. Not sure where it is in xp.
Have used this several times over the years.
