At some point I'd like to get into rendering. The LED animation on the Optis site is what I think of when the topic comes up....

Thanks for that link, I did a search but wasn't as successful as you.
Thats how I was doing it in the first place, but I can't get the 'glow' on other parts as he does, is there something that I am missing? Do I just need to adjust the material properties to suit?
I'm relatively new to SolidWorks so learning every day.
Will this also enable me to render showing the LED as being on?

Solved my own problem.
Once the animation was saved as PhotoWorks buffer is gave that 'glow' and reflection off other surfaces.
