Has anybody had experience running Solidworks over an ADSL connection using Windows 2008 VDI technology with RemoteFX? What has been your experience? Tweakings done to optimize? Any similar configuration for remote access experience would also be appreciated.

And what is your connection bandwidth ?
I dont have Windows 2008, remoteFX or VDI.
I am using it in vista 64bit and xp32bit but the OS has nothing to do with the lag. I am working over 12Mbps ADSL2 line.
In my previous post I was just pointing my experience with remote access of pc's and working remote with solidworks in particular.
The easiness of working on any application remotely depends on two factors basically.

The reason I was being very specific was that I understand the general concept of what makes things faster or slower but in particular RemoteFX is meant to compensate for remote connections for graphics-intensive applications and I wanted to hear some real world experience with it.
I have been using TeamViewer from time to time.
In small assemblies it is bearable but if you are trying to work with bigger assys it has some lag. Mostly on model rotation and stuff that refresh the greater part of the image. I suggest it in urgent cases only. Not in daily basis because you ll be 50-70% productive comparing to on site work from your office.
