hello all,
as i moved to sw standard and im missing all the bolts nuts etc for my work, i was wondering if there is somewhere i can get all or most of the standard items there as parasolid or something like that.
i know i can get some stuff at 3dcontent but its very limited.
i guess that using the items in this way is not very intuitive, but i just couldn't put the extra cash on the professional version.

ill look into traceparts, they're site isn't loading for some reason now.
3dcontent has a very limited amount of items, and i was really hoping there is a place that i can download in one shot all the part files.
I know its not SolidWorks' interest that there will be a resource like that, but it seems pretty useful for some of us that work with bolts, nuts etc on a regular basis but can only go "standard".

What Deepak and Tony suggested are good sites to go to.
I am not sure if Granger has online models, but they are another company
like McMaster-Carr that has multiple parts.
Either way it sounds as though you will have somewhat of a mess with the assemblied
that had these toolbox parts. This is one of the reasons why I am a proponent of
strictly using toolbox as a starting point. Doing save as with the parts.
You can also start creating the parts and building the design tables
by using the specs in the machinery's handbook.

yeh i looked into mcmaster and such, and its a great resource if you are looking for a particular item each time.
its much more comfortable that you have all these standard parts in your system -like in the toolbox.
so i was actually looking for a single place to download all the bolts tipe (for example) at one place at one time.
i can also find a system that has toolbox installed and save the items separately as parasolid, but im looking for something easier.
i think that if someone had this resource it would be great for sw standard users.

3dcontentcentral.com will be the best place to look for. Other than that Traceparts.com is another good site.
Finally you're left with the option to model the parts for yourself and build up the library as required.
