Currently running SolidWorks 2010 SP on 32-bit and 64-bit XP workstations.
I have read on a blog somewhere that SolidWorks 2011 cannot be installed on Windows XP and will only install on Vista/7. Can someone confirm this one way or another?
Thanks. Blog obviously incorrect.
That was the original plan, that SolidWorks was going to stop support when Microsoft stopped support. However, MS has promised support through 2011, and SW has promised support through 2012.
I am running SW 2011 on XP right now.
Thanks for that. We will be eventually upgrading to x64 workstations, but we are stuck with XP for the time being. Info in blog was obviously incorrect.
Just to add my 2 cents, I am running SW 2011 on XP 64 too
SolidWorks 2011 works on all modern operating systems:X32 and x64 XP/Vista/7
In 2012 is likely to discontinue support for XP, but not confirmed.
SolidWorks 2011 funciona en TODOS los sistemas operativos actuales:XP/Vista/7 x32 y x64
En 2012 es probable que se descontinue el soporte a XP, pero no está confirmado.
