I just put together a new machine with Win XP Pro 64bit version. I have the 2009 SW DVD and installed the 64bit version and the install process goes off without a hitch - no warnings, no errors, etc.etc. But, i cannot start SW2009 SP0.0. I get the following error:
"
SldWorks has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." More information about this error: EventType : BEX64 P1 : SLDWORKS.exe P2 : 17.0.0.6014 P3 : 48c61baa P4 : rasapi32.dll P5 : 5.2.3790.3959 P6 : 45d6cc80 P7 : 0000000000001970 P8 : c0000005 P9 : 0000000000000008
Can someone help me here?????
I need this machine up and running.
By the way, I do not currently have my subscription with my VAR as active. We were not using the program so we decided that our money was better spent elsewhere. Now we are going to start using it (or try to if it installs) and will start the VAR subscription over again, but I need this to work first.
Also, I am not allowed to upgrade to the SP4.1 version of 2009 because my subscription is not active. But the machine where i am transferring the licenese from has the SP4.1 installed. I think that's not right, but I will deal with that later.
Thanks.
I had similar issues and wrote about them here:

Perhaps this will be of use in figuring out what you need to get the installation working.
