I am using SW2010 with SP4
A common part of our modeling includes making very notional (read crude) type parts to represent computer cabinet rack-mount equipment. As of late we have had to "spruce up" the parts with a few additional details for maintenance manual drawings. Since I found I was creating multiple D-Sub type connectors I decided to create a library feature.
This feature has multiple configurations that represent male and female versions of several sizes of D-Sub connectors. This feature is intended to notionally represent what you would see on the rear face of a piece of electronics equipment.
In use, you drag it onto a flat surface and select the version of the connector. The only reference is to the surface. Locating is done with additional dimensions as needed.
All of the male configurations work correctly. None of the female configurations do. I get an error indicating "Unable to create library feature with selected references."
Any ideas of what is driving this message. I assume the references it is talking about is the needed face to place the feature.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
