I'm having difficulty flattening routes that run thru clips (grommets, zipties, etc). I keep getting a "Loop Segment" error. Of course, SW "help" doesn't know what a loop segment is, but everything points to the route segment running thru the clip.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

A route that is run through clips can be flattened OK. The loop error refers to having loops in the model. IE, there is more than one path between any connector and any other connector. Wiring harnesses generally do not have more than one route as manufacture of such a harness is much more difficult.

Thanks for the feedback. At least I know what's causing the loop error. I'm just not sure how to prevent it. Everything goes along pretty well until I add a clip. Once the route goes thru the clip it adds line segments and loses the link with the wire table.
I'll keep plugging along, but it shouldn't be this difficult

I'm guessing you are trying to model wires. So you are routing two routes, for two wires through one clip. This isn't the way to do it. This application is for design of wiring harnesses, where you have numerous wires running oin parallel along the same route. For this you just model a single path which we call a bundle. The application takes case or which wires run through each bundle. It also calculates the diameter of the bundle and will select an appropriate clip size - if your clips are configured appropriately.
By passing two routes through the same set of clips you will create a loop as there will be two separate paths between each pair of clps.
