Hi guys,

If i have an assembly made up for a number of parts, Including Tubes, angles, Flats all welded together.

I need to work out the surface area for working out paint/priming costs/requirements.

i need this infomation on drawing/ or custom properties.

The problem is, If i use the solid works "surface area" it counts the insides of tubes. which do not get painted.

I need some way of it only selecting the correct faces - or some generic "outword" facing command.

I need this to be automated as we have a large number of assemeblies, we would like to use this on.

Anyone got any ideas?
