Can I open an e-drawing.exe file (created in Windows) in Mac directly without having to install e-drawing Mac viewer. I can convert the exe file to epart, easm or edrw but need to view them directly in Mac.
It's possible to install e drawings on mac by downloading the edrawings viewer. And it's not possible to open the .exe created on a windows machine.
check the below link.
Thanks Bhagavan, I know about that but I don't want to do that. Please read the requirements again.
I have had mentioned that it's not possible to create an edrawings.exe from an windows machine and open it on mac.
Hence i thought of sharing the link to download the edrawings mac viewer.
If you use 3D-PDF it can be opened with windows, mac and linux.
Thanks Bhagavan, I did read that but i have read somewhere that it can be done i.e. open an exe from an windows machine on mac. And looking if some one knows the way out for e-drawing.
maybe it would work if using wine on mac, but I do not have any wine experiences on mac, hopefully someone could give more experiences of this topic.
Anyluck on this ?
AFAIK, e-drawings.exe which was created on a Windows machine cannot be opened on Mac.
Nopes and I guess I need to install Wine to get it done.
Wine is quite handy I sometimes run SolidWorks in linux with wine, but the problem is in corporate use that you have to have windows license for usage and that limits the usage, as if you have the windows license why not use windows instead
