SW 2010 SP4 64 bit. When I start a new assembly and insert a toolbox part (bolt, washer or nut) it comes in as a "PreviewCfg). This is also what will show up in the BOM. I have to manually choose the properties of each individual part and tell it, again, what I want it to be. This had already been specified while inserting the part.
Very frustrating!

Yes, I see this all the time myself.
If we could at least get Toolbox to use the part templates of our choosing by default, perhaps much of this hassle could be eliminated. Built into the template, for instance, we could specify using something useful as the part name in the BOM, such as the part's actual name, or description, or whatever we want. "PreviewCfg" is utterly useless, and always has been. Is there a way to apply any sort of useful changes to this current system from the user's side? (I've not seen anything useful from the SolidWorks side.)
