Our group recently upgraded to 2011 sp.1 from 2010 sp.4. We are experancing a lot of lag when we are working on previos version created assemblies. It is seen the most when appling mates, up to 30 seconds of wait time when changing, applying or creating mates. I created a basic assembly from scratch in 2011 and did not see this lag and I have never experianced this type of lag with solidworks. Any help would be greatly appriciated.
Yes i believe so, I've been working on this same assembly for a week and I've done a few "save all" thinking that may have been the issue.

Turning off or changing the mate animation did not do anything. My group must be the only one experiancing this?

Are you working off of a network?
Our files are located on a server, but we have indivdual solidwork seats on each computer. We do work off the server.
Try doing a pack n go of an assembly to your harddrive and call it up from there
to see if you have the same issue.
Pack and Go to local drive did not solve the issue.
We have the exact same issues after converting from 10 sp4 to 11 sp1. It seems like the bigger the assembly gets, the worse it gets. That would seem logical except for the fact that it has never been this bad.
I tried doing a brand new installation of 2011 instead of an upgrade from 2010. Same issues.
has the assembly been saved in 2011 and all referenced parts/assemblies as well? (NO 2010 files being used)
