I'm new to SW and the forums, so forgive me if I'm treading on old topics. I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to add new components to a display state that already exists. Ideally, I would like to be able to see all the components in an assembly and select the items (either through the tree or model) that I would like to add to a display state.
Currently, I activate the default state so that I can see the model to select it. Then I find it in the tree and attempt to remember the item. Revert back to the display state, which hides the part and invariably changes the tree position. Then I hunt and peck and occassionally get lucky and find the part in question. I'm tempted to delete the entire display state and start over, but I'm hoping there is a better way. Any suggestions?

Try Show Hidden Components (Assembly toolbar). It temporarily shows hidden components and hides shown ones, so you can select the hidden components you want to show. See Show Hidden Components in the Help.
