Is it possible to create an admin image of SW 64 bit on my 32 bit server?
I believe you can do it. My thought is that the image creation is only copying files - the installation happens on the client machine. And with SW2011 you can create a 32 bit and/or 64 bit image from the same machine.
Prior to SW2011 you could not create a 64-bit image on a 32-bit image. We had to make a virtual machine running a 64-bit environment in order to make the 64-bit image and then transfer it to the 32-bit server.
Just did an Admin image in 2011 and chose to install both images on a server share. SW 2011 made a 32bit and 64bit subfolder.
Through the Solidworks Installer in the Administrative Image portion you can select the appropriate option.
