Why are all the mirrored parts listed at the end of the feature manager tree? For the sake of organization I would like to keep the parts and thier mirrored version together, but it will not allow the mirrored parts to be moved up.

The tree is arranged with components first and assembly features second so since the mirror is a feature it will always show up at the bottom of the tree. I am not aware of any way to change this.

I have several mirrored parts in this assembly, and the frustrating thing is that they are listed in the feature manager as MirrorComponent1, MirrorComponent2, etc. This make it hard to find the part you are looking for. You have to expand each one to see the part name.
Once a part is mirrored and a new part is created, why can't that part be shown as a part on the tree, not a mirror component? I guess I could create the mirrored part, then delete it and then re-assemble the part as a normal part, but this seems like too much work for little gain.
If you are looking to just help identify parts in the tree you could always rename the Mirror feature with the part number or whatever of the part that is mirrored.
I have renamed the parts, but the part name is a subheading under the MirrorComponent heading, so I have to expand the MirrorComponent feature to see the part name. If it would just show the part name that would be great.
If there is a way to have to part name show up on the feature tree without them been berried under the MirrorComponent feature that would be great. Can this be done?
rename the mirror feature to whatever you like. we have the "rename feature on creation" option checked, so we name everything something usefull - very handy latter on.
As you can see from my screen shot I do not actually use it though I recognize its usefulness. I simply am too lazy to come up with relevant and meaningful names for every feature I make so you know what Extrude 87 is good enough for me.
I should mention to Mitchell that when you click on the mirrored part in the assembly it should automatically expand and highlight the part in the tree for him. Also, you can use the Zoom To Selection button in the flyout menu in the tree to find out where the part in question is actually located in the assembly, though if there are other bodies in the way it will not dynamically highlight the part in question so you can see its outline through the obstructing bodies. That I feel would be a nice addition.

That is what I meant. Rename the actual feature name. So instead of MirrorComponent1 or whatever, rename it Left Side Bracket as an example.
