I have been using SolidWorks 2008 SP5 for a while and recently upgraded our product data management program, ProductCenter to a newer version. Upon doing that, I get an error that the SolidWorks common file, swDocumentMgr.dll file is not registered, so I run regsvr32 swDocumentMgr.dll and it fixes the problem and all functionality works as expected. I'm not sure why that file isn't registered by default, but that is OK, it isn't too much work. My issue is that when I installed SW2008 SP5 on an Windows 7 machine and ProductCenter 9, I run regsvr32 swDocumentMgr.dll and I get an error that DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80070005 and I can't start the ProductCenter add-in because the SolidWorks shared component, swDocumentMgr, isn't available. In looking up this error code, I found it is realated to a permissions issue, likely in the registry. Does anyone have some insight into this? I tried running regsvr32 in compatibility mode, but that didn't fix the issue.
Thanks,
Brandon
