I would like to install Cosmos-works for Solidworks 2010. I was told by a colleague that SW 2010 comes with this inbuilt and there might be an option when installing the program but i don't see it. can anyone assist? Thanks
The built-in version is called "simulation express," and is included with every version of SolidWorks. It's a very watered-down version FEA software. Also, Cosmos-Works is now called "SolidWorks Simulation," and is included only in the Premium package. SolidWorks Simulation only does linear, static analyses, but you have more options for boundary conditions and loads. Here is a useful webpage to look at... http://www.solidworks.com/sw/products/10201_ENU_HTML.htm
Thanks very much. "SolidWorks Simulation" did the trick.
