All my 2011 users have a Solidworks 2005 registry entry in the CU registry under Software/Solidworks. Under that there is a Content Manager item.
What is with this? It's bizzar.

Scott,
I have a 2 month old computer with a SW 2010 and 2011 installation. I have no problems. In handling support cases for my company, I have noticed that all my 2011 customers ALL have this registry entry. It ain't just me. There's no 2006/7/8/ or 9 entry. This computer has never had anything but 2010 or 2011 installed.
Ben
Ben,
That is weird if all you have had loaded is 2010 and 2011.
Never heard of that before. Have you tried contacting your VAR?
I have never had 2005 installed but also have the key
Inside is a single folder with a single DWORD variable (on my machine anyway) - SolidWorks 2005 >> ContentManager >> ViewMode (0 or 1).
A search on the knowledge base for "content manager" suggests it's something to do with 3DContentCentral - so it's likely just a legacy registry entry that won't affect anything.
Ben,
If you haven't installed 2011 yet I would advise not to yet.
Clean out the registry using this file. Then install a clean copy of 2011.
This way you are not resorting back to 2005 settings.
