Trouble patching clients from Admin Image

I still use the html setups and then run a batch file after the setup to upgrade the add-ins. The initial install will install all the software automtically. On upgrades it will apply the SP to Solidworks and then I just send the user a link to the batch file to update eDrawings and swexplorer/PDMWorks workgroup. Still somewhat manual, but not that bad.

I patched our image, but now I can't seem to get my computer (first one I tried) to recognize that there is an update and to patch thyself! I tried browsing to SWSPMANAGER.EXE but no avail- it keeps running 1.0. Anyone have any ideas
1) How to verify that this was installed via an image
2) How to absolutely force a look at the image and hence a patch since the image has been patched.

When you start SW are you using your desktop icon? I've heard that if you use the quick launch it won't apply the SP.
