I have another one for the sheet metal gurus. It's a speaker bell. I thought I could draw the speaker, convert it to a sheet metal part and fold(hem) the sides. Now I'm not sure. Really new at this. Should I start my loft as a square? Have a look at the attachments and let me know what you would do.

SolidWorks cannot create spun parts using sheetmetal features.
use regular features thin-revolve and loft
I tried a loft cause you can't revolve a square, with guide curves, just isn't comming in right.
Use a couple planes to setu up the square part of the loft. The the last sketch is a circle. Loft that as a solid.
Cut out that top section a cut revolve.
Fillet the top edge.
Shell for metal thickness.
Add your hem as a sweep.
Spun parts need to be done with thin revolves/lofts, or solids that are shelled out. No sheetmetal features for this.
K, got all that but the hem. What do you mean add the hem as a sweep? I could just sketch a profile on each side?

loft the square to round horn.

yes, thanks. My biggest problem was that it is spun to the one shape and then hammered into the square end.
