I have attended Advanced SolidWorks classes in Syracuse, but need I guess some training in how to make and use form tools. Can anyone steer me towards a good resource for this training?
Try this link
Are you talking about Syracuse New York?
Then you took your class through Cadimensions?
Are the form tools you speak of the same ones used in sheet metal?
If so, I remember them teaching on that in the advanced class.
Is this what you are speaking about?
Yes, yes, yes, and yes...to answer your questions in order, but that was 2005, and I have never used or needed to use them until now. I can't recall any of it except what the colors mean. I want to be able to place them successfully and understand the logic more thouroughly. I need two dimple features in a hinge plate, so putting something onto a radius may need some understanding that I do not have. Thanks for your reply.
Thanks, I will peruse this link. Looks too simple for what I need, though.
That is too funny!!! I took my class around the same time you did in the Buffalo NY area.
I had the guys from the Rochester office come and teach the class. Maybe a year earlier.
But I too a few months ago ran into the exact same delema. What I did is between the tutorials
and going back through my training books started figuring our how to use the commands.
A little trial and error and I figured out what I needed to do and started getting pretty good at it.
I also remember that there is a CD in the back of the training manuals as well. Try that. I didn't
but maybe you will find some value in what I have said.
