I have installed SolidwWorks 2011 Premium in One workstation, the computer name is identified as OLD.
Now i got a new workstation and i need to transfer the license and uninstall the SolidWorks from the system OLD and install in the new System named NEW.
1) Can i install the SolidWorks 2011 Premium in the new System with the default Computer name NEW ?
I have been given a system previously and i have installed SolidWorks 2011 Premium in that.
Now am provided with a new system, I have transfered the license and i have to install it again in the new system.
SHOULD I CHANGE THE COMPUTER NAME OF THE NEW SYSTEM TO THE COMPUTER NAME OF OLD SYSTEM ?
to again work with SolidWorks 2011 Premium.
Please help me to find out a solutions
Computer name has nothing to with it.
I don't know what you have done and cannot help further.
You have a lot of money riding on this.

If you have transferred the license, you can install it on any computer regardless of name.

Actually i was miss guided that Computer name will be grabbed on to the SolidWorks Database and we should raise an SR to remove that name from SolidWorks Database for that license. And then only can install and work in another computer.
