SW allows me to seemingly attach a Reference Geometry Coordinate System to a flexible or floating body.
However when the body moves, the coordinate system graphic stays fixed in global space. I don't see how this helps me measure vectors relative to the moving body.
Have I overlooked something?
I previously tried to measure vectors relative to edges (along) and faces (normal to) on the moving body, but the measurement property manager would accept only whole solids, not features, as a reference. Solids don't have an implicit direction.
How have you done it?
John,
What does this reference geometry look like in your model tree?
Is it "Fixed" or "Floating"? If it is Fixed RC on it and change it to Floating.
Then you should be able to move it.
