Is there a way to sketch a circle by diameter and not by radius in the sketch parameters?? Kind of aggrevating to divide it in half all the time.
I believe if you check "Enable on screen numeric input on entity creation" in the System Options-Sketch, and when you create a circle the "Diameter dimensions" in the property manager is checked, you can then input the diameter instead of the radius.
Hope this makes sense.
The closest Solidworks offers is to use the perimeter version.
You can dimension the dameter, but not draw that way.
I might be reading the OP wrongly but am I the only one that can only sketch and dimension in ø?
That's funny...I think it was my fault..(I deleted my post when I realized I had it wrong..lol)...
I think what Brian is referring to, is when you actually insert the circle into the sketch, the distance you're going from your center point/insertion point to define the diameter of the circle is usually the radial dimension, and he would like for it to be the diameter right off the bat. Am i understanding this right, Brian?
I thought he was wanting to know of a way to define the radius right off the bat..oops
Right... yes.. gotcha...... and no...
This still gives you the radius.
Hey that works John thanks....I don't know why SW wouldn't put that as an option, it would be nice to see in the future.
