Text I enter into a drawing changes from Caps to lowercase with every new document regardless of the keyboard status.
Has anyone encountered this issue
Can you be more specific? I have never heard of this and never encountered this either.
Did this just start happening? Does it happen on all of your drawings?
Is your caps lock on or off when this happens? Are you saying that you type it in caps
and close the drawing and the next time you come in it is in lower case?
It happened after a re install. It is happening to all drawings. It makes no difference whether my caps lock is on or off.
I start typing in one drawing correctly, and when I open another drawing it is reversed without changing the caps lock button
So obviously this didn't happen prior to the reinstall.
What version did you reinstall and what service pack?
Did it get reinstalled on the same computer?
It has been an issue with other users here, No one really sure what corrected it.
The hard drive died so it was new but the rest of the computer is the same.
We are running 2009 sp 2
So some have found a solution to it, but others including yourself haven't?
And the ones that have solved it don't know what they did to correct the issue?
Why don't you go to the Solidworks portal and down load the latest service pack for 2009
which I think is SP5.0 and see of that helps?
When you said your hard drive crashed and you reloaded it, that told me it wasn't a registry issue.
I can suggest the Sp upgrade but our IT has been reluctant to individually upgrade users,
Thanks I'll post the solution if I find one.
Fair enough. I have been in that situation. Where I used to work I would suggest that
my machine be used as the beta test for the new version or SP upgrade. If things got fixed
or the upgrade worked fine then others in the department were upgraded as well.
Another solution is you can down load the fixed SPR's and read through the list to see if
your particular issues was submitted and resolved.
Good luck with this.
Does this only happen in SolidWorks?
Have you tried changing the default font?
Have you run a repair of SW? (save settings first)
It is only happening in SW.
tried changing the font, No change. Will look into running repair.
You could also try copying the settings from a system not exhibiting the problem.
