When dealing checking in non-SolidWorks files, is there a way to multiple-select them and put them all in at the same time?
Thanks for the resonse. I see a way to click a file, click "add to list", and do that repeatedly until they're all selected, then click "check files in" at the bottom, but I'm not seeing a drag and drop feature, where I can just control select everything I want, and drag it in. Is it there & I'm just missing it?
afaik you can only drag one at a time in (using sw explorer).
Here's a work around, put multiple files in a .zip folder, then drag and drop the zip folder into the vault. Your can chose to Link or not Link the zip folder to existing files.
Yes, this is a workaround, but I'd rather be able to look in the vualt and see all my checked in items in alphanumeric order, rather than having to know which zip file the latest version of any given file is in. Of course there's alway searching (not sure if you can see things inside the zip file), but that's also more effort than I'd like to make people go through to find the latest file.
FYI, I don't know if this is important to you, but if you have to link these non-Solidworks
files to any Solidworks files you have to check them in one at a time.
I have Excel BOMs that I check in and when I do the singularly it gives me the option
to link them to a file in the vault. Just thought I would throw this out there.
But you can do a bulk check in of any type of file if needed. But you have to be an administrator to do it.
