I am ggeting this error while importing from autocad to solidworks
"Not enough storage to process this request"
Thanks for the suggestions
Sounds like a computer memory issue.
What are your computer specs?
Almost new PC
W3530, 2.8Ghz, 3.5 GB RAM
Maybe your Virtual memory needs to be increased.
Can you post this ACAD file? Maybe I can convert it for you and post the Solidworks drawing.
Thanks Scott, will try some other way, the drawings are all confidential. I tried enhancing virtual memory, no luck so far.
Have you tried this on another machine?
You should be able to call (file open) up Autocad drawings directly (.dwg, .dxf)
Try opening them up in E drawing and see if that works. If it does save it oput as an E drawing and
call that up in Solidworks.
Calling from E drawings did not work either.
I did get it fixed, I had to call up tech support, anyhow the fix is that you need to go to registry and rename the solid works folder to solidworks old and then the software will reset to what was originally intalled. The only drawback is the cutom settings on toolbar will be lost.
Interesting. So the problem it appears is that somehow the Solidworks load was corrupted.
Shame you didn't save your reg settings. I would get them back to the way you want then go to
Retrieving data ...
