Just loaded SW 2011. I notice over in the design library that most everything is empty. I use flanges and valves a lot and they are no longer there. Under Valves, the folder is empty. Any ideals how to intall the stuff back?
Since you do see the folders, if you right-click on the valves folder, is there a check-box beside 'assemblies folder'? If so, uncheck it. See the part files now? If so, do the same on the rest of the folders. If not:
If you browse to the place that your design library is pointing in Windows Explorer, are the files there? (hover over the folder in the task pane to see the path, or check System Options>File Locations>Design Library)
How was the installation done? Was it an upgrade to a previous version or was it a clean uninstall/reinstall (meaning deleteing installation folders and registry keys and all)? Is it the same OS? Is your design library in the default location, or has it been moved?
There is nothing there to check or uncheck when I right click the Valve folder. It gives me a box to Open Folder, Delete, etc....
I did click open folder and it went to Windows Explorer to show me the directior which was empty - nothing in the valve folder. I checked a few more folders such as Conduit and it was also empty.
I did do a complete install since it gave problems trying to overright the 2010 edition. Same machine and OS so nothing has changed there.
Did you followed this method for updation CleanUpdate.
Found the answer. The design library was looking in the 2010 SW files. It needed to be deleted and a new Design Library was added looking in the 2011 SW design library.
All is well on Machine 1. Just got to deal with the black screen on Machine 2. I was told to make sure I have the latest driver for that card for the 2012SW
Thanks to All
