    Simulating Gaps in thermal-stress problem.

      I need some help with this kind of calculatión.  I will try to describe the model;

      I have a steel wall pierced by a metal tube. There is a gap between the tube and the wall.  When we apply heat to the tube, it expands and presses against the wall.

      The presure creates some stress on the wall.

      My question is:

      I can shape the tube with the same diameter as the hole in the wall and do the thermal calculation and then make  stress calculation introducing a 1 mm GAP?

      What kind of analisis in need to run?

      I send you a simple mode to better understanding.

      Thank you for your help.
