You cannot delete a workflow unless all documents that have been in the workflow are permanently deleted. (destroy)
Use this SQL query to see what documents are still in the workflow. (Open the query and put your workflow name in)
No, that will not help. You would still have versions of the files in the old workflow that you want to delete. What would happen if someone tried to rollback one of these files to that version and that workflow was no longer in the database?

Any truth to the rumor we will be able to do this in 2011?
I was playing with the 2011 Beta when it came out. I think it allows old versions to migrate workflows, or has a tool to do it.
I hope there will soon solve this problem.It's really annoying to have several unnecessary workflows similar to the system.
was there ever any way to find this out? I ran the SQL search, but I don't think it actually showed me the appropriate results. I followed the results and they never touched the workflow I ran the query for.
