I need to delete a parent feature, but I do not want to delete the child. I come from a back ground of Pro-E. In Pro-E if you try to delete a parent it will give you an option about what to do with the child (ie, delete or suspend). If you suspend the child, it would allow you to redefine the child and remove the relationship with the parent. Is there some functionality like this in SW.
The child (a shell feature) is failing. To fix this problem I want to get rid of a feature, which is a parent feature. I need to delete a feature, but it in turn deletes the child (the shell) which is parent of other features, which wrecks my model.
Can anyone help?
