I'm still using 2009 to collaborate with other parties, have been on x32, if I want to transfer to x64 where would I get the program files from?
I still see them on the SW download site so that would be the logical place to grab them if you don't have the original DVDs & service packs.
Be sure to select the drop down box on the SW Download website so you can see the SW2009 Downloads.
Yep, it was that little drop down box that I missed!!
But now, can I put 2009 on Windows7 ????
Yes, simply download and install. But make sure you return the license of 32 bit back before installing so that you can use that to activate your 64 bit license (in case you have stand alone license)
Mike, you got 64 bit windows 7 now?
What is that note of jealousy I detect??
Yes I do have W7x64 - but only temporarily until it gets circumnavigated and otherwise constrained in all its calculating capacity.
As SW2009 is not written for Windows7, will it run OK in compatibility mode?
I had been running SW2009 fine on Win 7 and like me there are many people running SW2009 on Win 7 successfully, so I think there should be no issues at all. And even if you search on the forum, you will get many threads/posts on SW2009 with Win 7
