Hello All,

I would like to apply an appearance on a flat surface, with a round perimeter, that looks like a lathed or spun piece of metal. Please refer to the attached image for clarification. On curved surfaces, I can usually manipulate one of the brushed metal patterns to look the way I want, but on flat surfaces I am unable to make the ‘brush lines’ map in concentric circles.

Does anyone have a technique for doing this using the standard SW appearance library?

The only remaining option I can think of is to create / find an image of the circular pattern, and map it onto specific faces on the model. That will work, but it's also pretty clunky.
