SW to Acad....

Question asked by Aaron Baumgartner on Oct 6, 2010

So here at my company we use sw (2009) for doing our machine design. Our department that does the facilities design uses acad (2010). They are finally implementing 3D. we are trying to find the best process for this. Currently we are taking the assembly, supressing all the internal components and sving out as an acis. this works, but its creates a very large DWG. For instance a 30mb sw file will be come a 190mb acad dwg file.

How are others doing this sort of thing.
