We have three systems now running Windows & and SW 2010. They all seem to be crashing (i.e. SW shuts down) more often than with XP and SW 2009. Having too many drawings open, a large assembly open or checking in simple doc into the PDM Works Vault can cause a SW to shut down.
Is there some instability with SW 2010 in Windows 7 or am I just more annoyed than I use to be ?

Same here, no issues with W7 and SW2010 SP4, also, 12GB ram
What type of processor(s)?
1. Loved the 2015 reference.
2. We all have dual core Intel, 3GB or 4GB. Assys have no more than 40 pieces.
3. SW2010 is at SP4.0
4. Windows 7 Pro, build 6.1
Shutting off SEARCH Helped me.
Setting for search folder should be looked at too . .
. . Since the SEARCH became automated , its always running in the background.

Complete computer system spec, including video card and driver. Are you using x32 or x64 bit Windows? How much memory do you have?
Windows 7 Professional, Ultimate, and Enterprise editions both x86 & x64 are supported, but with x86, dwindling RAM could be a problem
buy a Windows 8 upgrade and install it, it is much more stable than Windows 7
Windows 7 is obsolete and won't be supported in the near future

seriously, which SP of SW, make sure you are using latest
SW 2010 and W7 Ultimate works like a champ for me
but then so does XP with SW2009 & 10
