I want to sort the mate by types, can that be done? For example Concentric then coincident then all the tangent mates and on and on
Not really. You can only go so far in ordering them like you want. Much like reordering
features, in that you can't put a child feature ahead of its parent. Same holds true for mates.
You, make create Folders with category, but it's some complicate. You can not move a group of mates, only one by one.
Tomasz: When I selected the mates, ie coincident, and tried to move them to a folder I got this message:
Cannot insert items in a folder which are not contiguous.
It did place the 1st four that were contiguous. And as Scott saaid I was able to manualy move the other coincident into the folder.
Please foregive me I,m in opposition
This is the proof
Add to new folder

Tomasz, no one is offended. We love to be proven wrong when it shows that something CAN be done.
It is possible that a poorly expressed. (My English) . With questions on this forum, I also discovered many new features offered by the SW.
This only seems to be possible in the overall assembly mates folder and not in any subassembly or parts within the assembly. I often want to organize these subassembly mates or part mates in order to keep mates between two parts near each other, but it seems this is not possible
Just being nosey - why do you want to sort by mate?
