This is the thread for the Quadro 600, 2000, 4000, 5000, 6000
This is not the thread for the Quadro FX Mobile cards: 380M, 370M, 1700M, 1800M, etc.
This is not the thread for the nVidia Quadro FX 380, 580, 1800, 3800, 4800, 5800 etc.
For comparisons, do a search for a similar thread created for ATI graphics cards.
This should be a good place for people to let others know whether their video card is working well or not. Since almost all video cards are finicky, it is often tough to decide which to purchase. Help everyone out by posting here what your experiences are with your video card. You might consider posting a week or two after you install it, after you get a chance to really test it out (but this thread will go whichever direction you take it).
Here is an example post:
I installed an nVidia Quadro <model number> about two weeks ago, and so far I have not been having any issues. It has worked well for me. I work on assemblies that typically contain 10,000 components, and sometimes up to 15,000. I have been able to work in the 15,000 component assembly and work in the model at a very reasonable speed. The part files are all prismatic parts, and most are fairly simple. I also bought this card for use in <if you are going to buy one of these I assume it is also for another application, explain why and how>.
I use Windows 7 64 bit, and I am using driver number <insert driver number here>, which I downloaded from the SolidWorks website.
I use two monitors, each at 1600x1200 resolution.
(The above is made up, I do not own any of these cards)
Rules for posting in this thread:
1. If you are having problems with your video card, do not try to fix them in this thread. Create a new thread of your own, or append to a different thread of an existing post with the same problem. I do suggest you create a post here that links to your thread. Make sure to include your OS (including 32/64 bit), and driver number, and what kind of modeling you do. Something like:
I have an nVidia Quadro <insert model number>, and I get artifacts in my model viewing area for both models and drawings. I am using Windows Vista 64 bit with the driver number <insert driver number> that I downloaded from the SolidWorks video card compatibility webpage. I work on model assemblies with about a hundred components, which are often complex shapes including molds.
Here is a link to my thread, please help! <link to thread here>

If you do a formal review on your blog, or you have a link to another review on a different blog, let me know and I will post it here on this original post. I only want reviews that discuss issues related to stability and performance. No “whiz bang” publicity reviews, you can use Google to find those if you want.
