This is an absolute stellar tutorial. I believe complex modeling is a career I would be interested in and was wondering if you had any tips and/or information as to how I could go about becoming a certified/professional Solidworks Modeler. I would like to take advanced classes to further familiarize myself with Solidworks. I am currently a college student and have completed all that this institution has to offer in this field.
Thank you for any information you may have,
Where can one down load the tutorial????
Solidworks was not meant for Surfacing although it can do it. Solidworks is not a spline based surfacing cad sofware and does not have the necessary advanced tools to work with and generate G3 high quality surfaces. For such technically advanced surfaces you need Alias which is created specifically for such task and has the necessary and wide tool box with the necessary tools to achieve G3 Surfaces.
There are other software companies that might do surfacing some what better than SW, but SW surfacing can do about anything any Engineer would need. We use have used it to create some very organic surfaces without the use of Alias. If you having trouble with SW surfacing, then you might need to get more SW training.
