Hi,
i am wondering could i somehow group this 2 together? I am trying to do some furniture plans that require 3d image (assembly) and 2d cutting and drilling plan (drawing). It would be great if i could have them both in one file. Or if this is immpossible if drawing could be always related to the assembly.
And another question, is there a wayto have equasions always visible somewhere on assembly (so that user does not need to go to tools-->equasions), or run a macro.
Thanks
Jure,
It isn't possible to save the Drawing and the Assembly as one file.
The Drawing should always be related to the Assembly by default, unless you create them individually. Most drawings are created from the Model(Assembly).
The Drawing can be saved as a Detached Drawing, but this is something you would have to intentionally do.
I don't believe you can have the Equations 'floating' somewhere in the Assembly, I presume for ease of editing.
Perhaps you should look into tying your equations into a Design Table, the user could then change dimension in the Design Table and it would affect the model.
Hope this helps,
regards,
Alan
