Hi there,

I've got an assembly that has two degrees of freedom for 2D positioning (limit angle mate and a linear rack and pinion mate with limits).  I need to attach a sub-assembly to the end, and need to be able to manipulate parts of that sub-assembly without moving any of the previous mates.

What I would like to do is "freeze" the limit mates in their current position (whatever that might be) so that they do not move.  So far, the only way I can find to do this is to suppress the limit mates, and then add some new fixed distance/angle mates.  Then I delete the fixed mates, and unsuppress the limit mates.  Clearly this is not efficient.

Is there a way to "freeze" the limit mates so that they stay where they are?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Stephen
