I need to put two cylinders in certain distance in assembly drawing but nothing works! I use SW2008.
Thanks a lot!
Need more information;
What kind of mates?
What are you trying to accomplish?
Can you post an example?
I have two cylinders that need to be parallel to each other in certain distance at X and Y direction. That is all.
Can you post a quick picture or best the parts/assembly itself as what is your actual requirement. I'm sure this has be very simple but still needs the inputs.
Create configurations of each variation distance needed.
Create a distance mate.
In feature manager show feature dimensions. Add that distance dimension to your design table
and change the amount to what ever needed for each configuration.
Sorry, it did not work...
Try using the right and front plans of the cylinders to establish a x,y, distance using the distance mate.
It was worth a shot.
Are your cylinders fixed in space?
Good Point Walter,
If your cylinders are fixed in space RC on them in the model tree and make them floating.
Then try what I suggested earlier again.
what about doing two cylinders
as a sketch , extrude
then saving that part
