How do i find the Assembly size of solidWorks in fully loaded condition?
I think you are asking how to find the total size of the files in an assembly, including all of the parts. There may be a better way, but my method is to use Pack and Go to copy the assembly and its parts into a folder and then check the folder size.
That might give the size of unique parts used in assembly, what if a pattern of components used ?
Assume if a part file is patterned to 100 times in an assembly, then the size of assembly file in loaded condition would be larger right....
In such cases how to find out assembly size in fully loaded condition?
I think Jerry has the answer. If something is patterned it's just referancing itself so shouldn't make the file much larger. Pack & go, check size and delete is what I'd do.
Try it yourself and see. I doubt that you would even notice the change in file size between just one instance and a hundred. I don't think it takes very many bytes to describe where to place the instances, and that is all that gets added to the assembly file.
