ATI firepro V7800 Compatible with solidworks?

hi,

We are in the process of getting a DELL 5500 workstation with a 6core processor 12GB ram and an ATI 8700 graphic card . But DELL no longer supports a ATI 8700 card instead they are giving us a ATI V7800 which they say is supported by SolidWorks.

But the trouble is i dont find the 7800 graphic card approved in the solid works site.

We will be using this system for high end meshing and analysis.

Is it adviceable to get this card.

Does SolidWorks support the card.

The 7800 is listed, but not under the Dell section. It is a Fire Pro card so even if a Dell driver doesn't currently exist, it soon should.

  Wouldn't it be nice if you could plug in a specific video card...Say a V7800, and it would show you all workstations it is compatible with instead of having to select the main hardware first?
