There is a tool to view licenses in SolidWorks through the SolidNetWork License Administrator, I was hoping that there is something similar in Enterprise PDM.
Is it possible to view the amount of free/used licenses in EPDM 2010?
In EPDM you have the search card named "Show Users" to show a list of all logged in users.
If you want to have more detail about the used licenses you will need to run a SQL query/report such as the attached one.
Thats exactly what I was after.
You can also use the Report Generator built into ePDM.
1. Save the attachment below to a location you will remember.
2. Select Tools>Report Generator while in your vault view. This opens the Report Generator.
3. In the RG, go to File>Import Query.
4. Browse to the .crp file and click Open.
This will add the report to the RG Queries list where it will stay for you to run anytime you want. To run it, just check the box next to the query and click on the run button.
How do you add the show users card to your searchers? I have the show users card in card search in the admin tool.
How do you run a QL query/report?
Thanks in advance Mike
To use the Show Users card you have to add permissions to users/groups as follows:
To run a SQL query you have to login to the SQL Server (normally same as EPDM server), open Microsoft SQL Management Studio, choose the right database, open the query and press Execute:
