We plan on purchasing SW to use with our sheet metal bending equipment. In working with a trial copy I've noticed that SW measures angles differently than most sheet metal forming equipment. Here's what I mean: If you opened a book and lay it flat on a table, SW calls that a 180 degree angle, but our equipment calls that 0 degrees (unbent). So, an 80 degree angle to SW is 100 degrees to the equipment.  Obviously, this depends of the point of measurement - SW measures the angle between the two lines, and forming equipment measures the degrees of bend required to achieve that angle from a flat position.

This will cause a bit of a problem with our shop drawings. Is there any way to change how the angle in SW are measured? If there isn't a setting that can be changed, is it possible to assign all degrees to a formula that 'reverses' the angles?

Thank you,

Evan
