Hi guys, I just upgraded to a new computer at work. I am having a problem to open multiple files on the new computer. Whenever I open the files, it will open up a new SW window and which is very time consuming. I know I can drag them into the empty space of SW and open it but I used to just double click the files and they will open in the same window which I already get used to it. Is there any setting in SW or Windows XP change change this? Thanks in advance.

I am using SW 2010 SP3.1 and Windows XP 64bit.

I would recommend opening up Solidworks first and then either use the file open command
or open the files up through Solidworks explorer.
I have on rare occasions open files up from Windows explorer and run into the same issue you have.
And this goes back many versions.
Is the computer brand new or a hand-me-down?
Do you have different versions of SW installed?
Yes, the computer is brand new. The only different is the SW I was using SP4.0 in the old computer but I didn't have this problem in SP3.1 with the old computer. That's why I guess is sth deal with win xp, not SW itself. Anyway thanks for the concern.
what version of SW and what OS are you running?
