I have SW 2010 Student edition software and when I try to run a transient thermal analysis, HSTAR.exe keeps crashing.
I know that student editions are supposed to be stable releases of SW, but this is ridiculous.
Which solver are you using? I have found since SW 2010 that the Iterative Solver does not work. You have to use the Direct Sparse.
Thank you Ryan Werner!
It seems that the FFE iterative solver is buggy in SW 2010, as it stops at step 9 in a transient study (out of 2429 total steps). Direct sparse does not run into that issue.
