I am wondering if anybody has tried CutePDF for converting SolidWorks drawings to PDF and noticed any issues (items missing).
I've noticed there being an issue when >File >Save As>PDF doesn't save blocks within a drawing. ie...where there is text within a block, the text is missing. All I did was explode the blocks and do another file, save as.
I've used it quite a bit in the past and haven't had any problems- at least I haven't noticed anything missing!
Is there something wrong with the SolidWorks solution (File > Save As > PDF)?
Otherwise, for every other piece of software I've got I can "print" to PDF format with PDF995. Works great.
I have been asked if there are known problems using this software, so I am just forwarding the question to the most knowleadgeable community I know.
Just ran across this- might be related to SPR 391334- "Text is sometimes missing in PDFs saved or printed from SolidWorks x64"- fixed 2010 SP4.0.
I use PrimoPDF. Free and works every time.http://download.cnet.com/PrimoPDF/3000-18497_4-10264577.html?tag=mncol
That's a good point, Spencer. Not to go off topic here but I've had the same issue with eDrawings not displaying blocks correctly- especially with text.
